In many photographs of Cameron Highlands including the one you can see at the top of our website, you will notice many scenes of lush green hills. Those lush greenery scenes are acres upon acres of tea leave plantations. Over at Cameron Highlands you will get the opportunity to walk up close to these plants, to admire the beautiful tea leaves in its purest form before they are processed into the tea leaves for drinks we often have in cafes, or coffee houses.
If all other sights do not attract you, the experience of going up to the top, the smell of fresh tea leaves, having a cup of warm tea in the cool weather and overlooking the great sights of the tea leaf plantation is reason enough to visit Cameron Highlands.
There are currently 2 major tea leave plantations in Cameron Highlands which are owned and managed by Boh Tea and Bharat Tea.
BOH Plantations is the leading tea grower in Malaysia with four tea gardens; of which Boh, Sungei Palas and Fairlie are situated in Cameron Highlands. The Sungei Palas Garden sometimes referred to as Boh Tea Farm in Brinchang, as it is the more popular destination and highly recommended for first time visitors up in the highlands. For those who do not posses own transport, and reside in Ringlet, there is still the Boh Tea Garden in Ringlet.
Bharat Tea Estate also known as Cameron Valley Tea House is the second of the 2 major tea estates in Cameron Highlands.
