mardi agro park
Located in Tanah Rata, MARDI Agrotechnology Park is an agricultural research station that is open to the public. It houses gardens of Flowers, Herbs, Orchids, Fruits, Roses, together with an information centre.
MARDI which stands for Malaysian Research and Development Institute is home to more than 100,000 visitors annually. What started as a research station still remains a research station with the added changes turning it into another popular destination in Cameron Highlands.
As you enter the Agro park, you will first come across the Information Centre, where they showcase MARDI’s agro technologies and publications available to purchase. Here is where visitors can purchase the entrance tickets to the park. Just outside the information centre, you will find a layout map of the entire area for you to plan your tour.
Among the flowers and plants nurseries, visitors can browse the many colourful forms of flora. You may even purchase potted plants and cut flowers that are available. If you wish to bring plants back to your home country, check with your Country regulations as certain species of plants or flowers may or may not be allowed into.
