Observation deck & open deck
During the purchase of tickets, you can opt for either the observation deck or the open deck. For those going to the open deck, you are required to sign a waiver form in the event of any mishaps. It is a compulsory agreement to be signed otherwise they will not allow you out to the open deck.
On the open deck, there is a magnificent unobstructed view of Kuala Lumpur. This unobstructed view is just shielded with a barrier chest high, so take precaution as one can fall off the deck if not careful. For both decks, you can circle round the entire deck for a 360 degree view of the city.
At the observation deck floor, it is sealed entirely with glass windows on the whole floor and fully air-conditioned. You will be asked to have your photograph taken when you take your first step in, you may opt not to purchase the photo if you do not like it. There are also souvenir shops selling keychains, watches and small crafts. Along the path you will find some binoculars that you may use to get a long range peek at the city.
For those who purchase the open deck tickets, they are also allowed to go to the observation deck once they are satisfied with their time outside. There is no time limit as to how long one can remain at the open deck, but they do have certain operating hours.
